1 pound Cherries, pitted & sliced in half
3/4-1 Cup Sugar
3/4 Cup Fresh Lime Juice
Lime Wedges for Garnishing
- Add the cherries, sugar and ¾-1 cup of water (use the same amound of water as sugar) to a sauce pan. Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring to make sure that sugar fully dissolves. Remove from heat but don't strain the syrup, leave the cherries in there. Allow syrup to cool.
- To make one drink, fill a glass with ice. Add 3-4 tablespoons of cherry syrup and 6 or 7 of the cherries from the syrup. Add 2 tablespoons of lime juice, op with sparkling water. Gently stir to combing, garnish with lime wedges.
