Cherries

General Information

Cherries are versatile fruits and can be a part of many dishes.  Cherries can even be frozen to be eaten whenever desired.

Selection and Storage

The best tasting cherries are plump and smooth in well-formed bunches.  Look for cherries that are bright and shiny.  Store unwashed cherries in a plastic bag in the refrigerated and use within about a week of purchase. 

Preparation and Cooking

When ready to use, wash the cherries and let them get to room temperature for best taste.  Cherries are perfect as a snack and are also tasty in sauces or salads.
